Here is a photo of me hiking at Jonathan Dickinson State Park, about 15 miles from my house. This has been my training ground so to speak. I've hiked a 10-mile loop there about a dozen times I think. I've seen gopher tortoises and their burrows, seen osprey, red-shouldered hawks, downy woodpeckers, red-bellied woodpeckers, blue-gray gnatcatchers, eastern towhee, black racer, everglades rat snake (i think), Florida fence lizard, Florida scrub lizard, eastern glass lizards, and plenty of other lizards. Haven't seen frogs here, but I've heard plenty from spring through fall, including southern cricket frogs, eastern narrowmouth toad, pinewoods treefrog, among others.
